1953 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Sedan

Exterior: this is a rust free, stock appearing body with NO Bondo. The new PPG Citation paint job shows off the top in Campus Cream with the lower part of the car in beautiful Forest Green. All bright work is in excellent condition with front and rear bumpers and grill re-chromed along with all stainless trim removed and polished. Unique touches include new green tinted glass throughout, a "period" outside sun visor, rear fender skirts and Coker wide white-wall tires. The engine compartment is graced with a Carbon Fiber engine cover and carbon fiber covering the entire firewall.
Interior: The interior features white vinyl and green cloth stitched very nicely in 50's style. All painted surfaces of the interior have been refreshed to look showroom new. The instrument cluster and dash bright work have been beautifully refinished. AM/FM Stereo with a Single CD Player, Power Steering, Power Front and rear Disc Brakes, Tachometer, Tilt Steering Wheel.
Engine and Driveline: The Chevy LS1 6.0L/375 HP truck engine is equipped with aluminum heads and a brand new Corvette cam. This strong and potent engine is backed by a TH700-R4 automatic transmission with overdrive. The New Ford Explorer 8.8" rear end has 3.73 gears and axles drilled to fit Chevrolet wheels. Up front, a Mustang II cross member with power rack and pinion steering has been added. Four wheel disc brakes are assisted by a new master cylinder with a remote reservoir and new vacuum booster. The suspension is upgraded with new front coil springs, rear leaf springs and Air Ride bags in the rear. Custom fabricated Carbon Fiber engine covers and firewall insert give the engine compartment just the right amount of that "Newstalgia" flavor. A New master cylinder with remote reservoir and New gas tank was installed and the car has been completely rewired with an EZ wiring harness. Build Sheet is available.
