Description
***PRICE REDUCED*** Was $53,900 - Now $33,000 IT'S GOTTA GO!

This '68 Chevy El Camino has recently undergone a professional frame-off restoration and is completely documented with a build sheet. Use whatever moniker you wish to throw at it; Mild Custom, Resto-Mod, or just plain Cool Hot Rod!

Exterior: The entire restoration was completed in May of 2011. The body was completely disassembled with each part painted individually prior to reassembly. The expertly applied GM Torch Red enamel with clear coat resulted in a stunning finish throughout the El Camino. All NEW rubber, windshield and one-piece door glass (relieving the quarter side vent windows) were installed. All body panels are laser-straight with uniform door, hood and tailgate gaps. All bright work and chrome is in excellent condition. Energy Suspension polyurethane suspension and body mount bushings are installed throughout.

Interior: The interior features all NEW gauges, padded dash, carpet, floor mats, headliner, door panels, and center console. Factory seats have been completely rebuilt with NEW foam, springs & upholstery. Painless Wiring 18 circuit wiring harness installed.

Engine and Driveline: The 427/450 HP Big Block Chevy engine is freshly rebuilt and balanced with about 200 miles on it. This "old school" bullet features an 800 cfm Thunder Series Edelbrock carburetor, Accel HEI distributor and Hedman Big Tube headers with a custom 3" exhaust system. All of this is backed by a Chevy M-22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission, aluminum flywheel and McCloud Competition Dual Disc clutch kit. Rear differential is a Chevy 12 bolt housing with the stock bearing pockets removed and large Ford bearing pockets installed, Strange 33 spline axles, Auburn Positraction Carrier with a 3.08 gear set (only 2,200 rpm at 70 mph). Power front and rear disc brakes. That nice stance is courtesy of Hotchkis Sport rear suspension, front sway bar and 2" dropped spindles.

Wheels and Tires: Hankook Ventus V12 evo.
