1949 Ford 2 door sedan for sale
This 1949 ford draws a crowd at every car show it attends.
You may refer to this 49 ford tudor as a street rod, resto mod, rat rod, kustom, or whatever. I describe it as the "3 eyed, 3 speed, Flamin' Purple Pavement Eater"
It's got three headlights, a three speed automatic c4, It's a ppg deep cranberry metallic with purple flames and it barks the tires in all gears.
Modifications to this car include:
* Shaved door handles with remote unlock and popper on the driver's side.
* Center fog light
* Shaved rear quarter seams.
* Blue dot tail lights
* Mustang II front suspension
* Lincoln Interior
* All new tinted glass all the way around - except back glass
* One WICKED 400hp 302 engine with c-4 transmission and 8" Maverick rear end
There is over $7000.00 invested in the drivetrain --NOT INCLUDING LABOR!!!
There is less than 12 hours on this engine!!!
The car still needs a few little things done like installing the radio and hooking up the speedometer and gas guage. Also, the center fog light is not hooked up. The power seats are not hooked up. All minor things that could be done in a couple of weekends. The c4 transmission is leaking somewhere. The car has a custom made transmission cross member so you or your mechanic can easily get to the transmission by taking out two bolts.
Although there are mufflers on this car, it is very difficult to keep a 400 horse power engine quiet. You will not be able to sneak around the neighborhood unnoticed. The camshaft on this engine is incredible. The car rocks back and forth in idle while the engine slowly thumps.
The car currently needs tuned. There are less than 12 hours of run time on the engine and transmission but the car want to stall and the carburetor (Holley 650 double pumper) wants to flood. If you are knowledgeable on Holley carbs, you should be able to dial it in better.
